Van Dam Architecture and Design brings years of architectural lighting design experience to each project. Much of our work relies on solutions and a choice of products, which have been fine-tuned throughout the development of hundreds of renovation and new residential projects.

In many cases, we work directly with electricians and fixture suppliers. However, we have a close working relationship with lighting designers to solve unique problems and provide technical support. If a client is looking for detailed coordination of computerized lighting control systems and lighting effects, we will collaborate with our consultant and client from beginning to end of the project. If a client requires integration of communications, audio-visual, or home security systems, our consultant will coordinate a team of vendors under our direction.

We also have a long standing relationship with an electrical engineering firm, which works with us on projects requiring special power needs, generator systems and other specialties. In addition, we can recommend the services of design-build firms for stand alone photovoltaic systems.
