The Museum at Portland Head Light
Cape Elizabeth, Maine

Portland Head Light Complete renovation of the light keeper’s quarters into a 3,000 square foot museum including a gift shop, offices, and support facilities. Before beginning the design, we worked with the Building Committee to develop the museum’s programming goals. We then prepared a conceptual design for fundraising. After completing the detailed restoration of the building’s exterior, we coordinated the historical research and assembly of objects for display and completed the design of extensive interior renovations to house the exhibits. Samuel Van Dam, Richard Renner, and Brad Woodworth worked together as a team.

The project received awards from I.D. Magazine, the Society for Environmental Graphic Design, and the Waterfront Center in Washington D.C.
