Restoration and additions to an
1840’s Greek Revival house in the historic center of Lincoln,
Massachusetts. The house was poorly renovated in the 1980’s.
A significant portion of the original structure was rebuilt,
with careful attention to saving old finishes. Two additions,
a side entry and extension of the kitchen, were proportioned
to be sympathetic with the best aspects of the original house. |
The owner, interior designer
(Glow Interiors by Design, Carlisle, Massachusetts) and architects
have designed several projects together over a span of 25 years.
Every decision was made collectively, so that the entire project
is of a piece. The general contractor was Robert A. Lawrence
Builders, of Westwood, Massachusetts. Stephen Pondelis, now of
Attardo Pondelis Architecture was significantly involved in the
design and construction management of the project. |
